Good to know.

No. Indexing and ranking happen entirely on your device. Optional sync is end-to-end encrypted with a passphrase only you hold, ZPXE's servers only ever store ciphertext they can't read.
No. The ranking is a deterministic algorithm over signals already in your notes: due dates, priorities, links, momentum and more. It calls no model, which is why it's instant and fully explainable. A separate, optional AI preview exists, off by default and bring-your-own-key.
Standard Obsidian and Tasks-plugin syntax: checkboxes, due, scheduled and start dates, priorities, recurrence, tags, Dataview inline fields, dependencies and daily-note mentions. Code blocks are never touched.
Only when you ask, and only minimally. Completing, snoozing or planning edits a single line and is always undoable byte-for-byte. Your Markdown stays yours, remove ZPXE any time and everything still reads normally.
